My work often crosses boundaries of performance, improvisation, installation, sound composition and socially-engaged practice. I’m interested in all sound whether it is made intentionally or unintentionally, and my compositions often make use of both by employing improvisation and noise elements. I also employ sound to provide possibilities for interaction and inter-subjectivity, by creating installations and situations that set up relational possibilities. Having an interest in a wide variety of musical systems, I am also interested in hybrid cultures and the relationships between traditions and modernity.
