In the past few years I have been involved with many film soundtracks, including 'The Lord of The Rings', 'The Passion of the Christ', 'Apocalypto' and many others. This work is interesting and challenging, and I've had the chance to work with some amazing musicians.
Mel Gibson's film 'Apocalypto'. Scored by James Horner, and using almost exclusively traditional flutes, horns and percussion it was, quite literally a blast! We covered the floor of Abbey road studio one with thousands of flutes. Here are a few photos from those sessions, as you can tell there was a small amount of larking about too. I saw the whole film in January in the cinema, and I loved it. It was quite nice to see all the bits in the right order - definitely better that way.
